Carola Miles was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, but spent her adolescence and early adult life in Santiago, Chile. Carola then immigrated to the United States to obtain a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from West Virginia University, where her artistic style became influenced by various historical periods.

Carola opened her studio to art students in Morgantown, West Virginia, in 2008, where she instructed painting and drawing courses for almost 10 years. Carola went back to school in 2016 to earn a Master of Fine Arts degree at the University of South Florida.

Carola has participated in numerous group art exhibitions, including Cloudy with a Chance of… at CL Space, Tampa, Florida, in 2016, There from Here at the Carolyn M. Wilson Gallery, Tampa, Florida, in 2017, and Extra Butter: 2019 MFA Graduation Exhibition at the USF Contemporary Art Museum, Tampa, Florida, in 2019.

Carola expresses her artistic ideas through personal narratives, life experiences, and situations while leaving enough ambiguity to allow the viewer to connect with and interpret her work. Carola is an A.I.R. Gallery National Member and is currently teaching at the University of South Florida and Hillsborough Community College.
